Atomic Machine provides precision Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) services for aerospace, medical, and defense applications. Our advanced Wire EDM uses electrically charged wire to cut intricate shapes in any conductive material — including hardened steel and exotic alloys.
HOW WIRE EDM WORKS
Wire EDM uses a thin, electrically charged wire as an electrode, submerged alongside the workpiece in deionized water. As the wire moves along a programmed path, electrical sparks erode the material with pinpoint accuracy, without the wire ever physically touching the part. This non-contact process is what allows Wire EDM to cut hardened materials with no distortion and no mechanical stress, even on the most delicate or intricate geometries.
